Worthy State, District, and Council Leaders,
Additional Online Exemplifications:
The Supreme Council continues to host online exemplification ceremonies while social distancing rules are in effect. I ask that you promote them heavily within your councils and jurisdictions.
We streamlined the procedures to make it as easy as possible for candidates to participate and for councils to process them. We are offering six online ceremonies over the next two weeks to accommodate a variety of schedules and time zones.
A candidate or observer can choose a ceremony that best fits his schedule. If a first choice is closed out due to capacity limitations, he should pick another time slot that still has openings.
The procedure to follow is very simple.
Grand knights or financial secretaries invite eligible candidates for admission and advancement to participate by forwarding this downloadable PDF invitation to them.Provide each candidate with your council number and instruct them to register for the exemplification of their choice by clicking on the associated link within the PDF. Tell them that their families are welcome, and encouraged, to observe. For your benefit, the ceremony schedule is as follows:
Thursday, April 30
7:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
10:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Thursday, May 7
7:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time
2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
7:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
10:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Follow up with the candidates to guide them through the registration as needed.Candidates should log in no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the exemplification.  After the ceremony, process the candidates by submitting form 100s the old way, or electronically in Officers Online.
Note that candidates for admission must be approved by your council. You may coordinate electronic voting for them using the temporary rules for electronic voting found HERE.
Save the Date: Next Fraternal Operations WebinarThursday, April 30, at 8:00 PM EDT
The next webinar will include useful information about recent changes, future operations, and star council criteria changes that you won’t want to miss. Details and registration information will be sent on Monday.
Please remain on the lookout for future announcements of this nature. Share them with your members and take advantage of these opportunities to grow the order and improve fraternal operations.

DISTRICT DEPUTY REPORT: D.D. Jon Martinez stated that he will provide the swearing in of Council #8386 Officer position changes at the March 11th Council meeting. He also shared that there will be a 2nd and 3rd Degree Ceremony this July, in Flagstaff. D.D. Martinez presented Earl Boggler with a Knights Shirt and Star Recruiter Pen for all his excellent work.

– 12/13/2018
– 03/14/2019

However, if a candidate wishes to achieve his Admission Degree ASAP, because he desires to participate in this fraternal environment or to participate in Knights of Columbus Permanent Life Insurance, Term Life Insurance, Long-Term Care Insurance, Disability Income Insurance, or Retirement Annuities, he may notify his Grand Knight that he requires exemplification by DVD. Exemplification by DVD is administered by the Council’s GK–after the candidate is briefed by the Financial Secretary and pays his dues and initiation fee and signs the Council’s Constitutional Role of Membership.
Have a wonderful Knight’s day.

Knights of Columbus Welcome New Members
On Sunday, March 9th, the members of Mary, Queen of the Knights Council #8386 here at St. Germaine Parish hosted a District First Degree in which 6 men became members of the Knights of Columbus. The officers, trustees and members of the council wish to extend a warm welcome to the following new Brother Knights to our council: James Cloughessy, Don Colozze, Jerry Porciello, and Thomas Allen.

I have recently been receiving more inquiries about membership in the Knights of Columbus and several men in the That Man Is You group have taken Form #100’s with them. “IF” we have 5 candidates for membership by the February Business Meeting, I will be proposing that we hold a 1st. Degree just prior to our regular February Council Meeting (on the 10th) rather than waiting till March 9th.
1.) We will be conducting a 1st. Degree on Monday, October 14th. at 6:30pm, immediately before our regularly scheduled council meeting in Reiser Hall!
We have two candidates anxious to join our council (William Chavez and Tim Bronowski) and our Worthy DD, Steve Byers has helped us arrange a degree so that they can be brought into the Order before the end of the month. Thanks Steve!!!!

for our “Special” 1st. Degree & help
Welcome Deacon Bob into our Council!!!!!
Upcoming 1st. Degree
The Next 1st. Degree in Prescott is: June 10th. at Sacred Heart Parish (6:00pm / candidates at 5:30pm)

4th DEGREE: Doug Becker–          Next meeting is Monday, April 15th at 5:30pm at Bon Fire Café. This is for Priest Appreciation.

  • We will not wear tuxes and each Knight will pay for his own dinner.

Our council and The Order itself could not accomplish anything without its members!
Year-to-date we have taken in “5” new members this fraternal year, with two candidates with signed form #100’s awaiting the next 1st Degree here in Prescott in June. Our Supreme Goal for new members was “6”, along with “3” new insurance members. While we will achieve that goal, we have also lost a number of members due to death and a lack of interest in continuing as members. So our net gain will be in the negative numbers after those withdrawals and deaths are counted in.
My message to you is this: “Mary, Queen of the Knights Council #8386 is a dynamic, active and involved council here in St. Germaine Parish. We have as members Fr. Dan, Deacon Wayland, Deacon John and soon to be Deacon Bob; giving us spiritual leadership as well as strong and active officer and trustee leadership in our efforts to realize the principles of our Order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism! This past year we have been a dynamic factor in many positive activities within the parish that we should be proud of:
Youth – Seminarian BBQ
Monthly Parish Breakfasts
Columbus Day Dinner
Parish Ministry Fair
All Saint’s Day “Trunk or Treat” Program
Parish Blood Drives (2)
Tootsie Roll Drive
St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
“Ladies Night Out” Soup & Salad Dinners
“Day of the Unborn” Rosary and Memorial Service in the Healing Garden (Pro-Life)
Re-initiated “Corporate Communions”
Cooking lunch for the Youth RCIA Sacrament of Reconciliation Class Retreat
Parish Clean-up Project
Cooking lunch for the Youth RCIA 1st Communion Class Retreat
Parish Easter Egg Hunt
Mother’s Day Flower Sale to support Pro-Life
Parish Festival
I am sharing this information with you, not to brag, but to instill a sense of pride in our council and to encourage you to reach out and “INVITE” men in the parish to join us in our efforts to support our parish and our community. All you need to do is to talk with them, tell them what we do for our parish (see above), and invite them to join.
Form #100’s are available in the K of C Mailbox in the church, from your officers and trustees, and in the K of C podium kept in the mini-hall in Reiser Hall.
The Next 1st. Degree in Prescott is: June 13th. at Sacred Heart Parish (6:00pm / candidates at 5:30pm)
